Key Qualifications:
- Active Oregon Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Previous experience in pediatric, school, or healthcare settings as a PT is highly valued
- Comfortable adapting treatment plans to address diverse needs in a school environment
- Solid communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational staff
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple caseloads efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students based on their individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment goals tailored to each student’s unique requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families, offering insights and recommendations for accommodations and classroom strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and regulatory guidelines
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, supporting a team-based approach to student care
- Stay current with advancements in physical therapy to ensure evidence-based practice
