Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New York State
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students of varying ages and needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, student-centered mindset and adaptability to different learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ motor skills and develop tailored treatment goals and interventions
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, documenting progress and adjusting plans as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute clinical insight
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to promote functional mobility and independence within the educational setting
- Support students in developing strategies for classroom participation and motor skill improvement
