School-Based Physical Therapist - Poughkeepsie, New York

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New York State
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students of varying ages and needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
• Compassionate, student-centered mindset and adaptability to different learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ motor skills and develop tailored treatment goals and interventions
• Deliver direct therapy services to students, documenting progress and adjusting plans as needed
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute clinical insight
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to promote functional mobility and independence within the educational setting
• Support students in developing strategies for classroom participation and motor skill improvement
