Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant in New York State
- Previous experience in school settings or pediatric therapy highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of PT/PTA services within educational environments
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to individualized care and student advocacy
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs and develop goal-oriented treatment plans in accordance with IEP requirements
- Deliver high-quality PT services using best practices and evidence-based approaches
- Work closely with teachers and other school staff to support students’ functional mobility and access to curriculum
- Monitor progress, document services, and participate in student support meetings as needed
- Provide education and guidance to families and staff on physical therapy interventions
