Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare environment preferred
- Expertise in evaluating and developing individualized treatment plans for students ages PreK-12
- Strong communication skills for engaging with teachers, administration, and families
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic educational setting
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and compliance guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical therapy assessments and provide evidence-based interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals within educational plans
- Support students with mobility, balance, coordination, and motor skill development
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district and state regulations
- Offer consultative support and training for staff to ensure the carryover of therapy strategies
