Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts
- Previous experience as a PT in a school-based setting preferred
- Adept at collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy interventions
- Committed to upholding ethical and professional standards in all interactions
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person physical therapy services for ESY programs, targeting students’ mobility, gross motor skills, and functional independence
- Perform evaluations, establish treatment goals, and document progress in accordance with student IEPs
- Work closely with classroom teachers and related service providers to ensure coordinated support
- Educate school staff and families on strategies for integrating therapeutic activities throughout the day
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and contribute to IEP meetings as required
