Embark on a rewarding contract assignment providing physical therapy services to K-12 students for an Extended School Year (ESY) program. This position takes place near Quincy, MA and spans from July 6, 2025, through August 7, 2025. Working Monday through Friday, you’ll contribute 30 hours per week (6 hours per day), helping students reach their unique goals during the summer session.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
- Holds valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience working in school settings (K-12) preferred
- Prior involvement in ESY (Extended School Year) programs is a plus
- Safe Care Certification is preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to organize and manage a diverse caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group physical therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families for holistic student care
- Assess student progress, maintain documentation, and update goals as needed
- Adapt interventions to fit the summer ESY schedule and environment
- Support inclusion within classroom and school activities
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development as required
