Physical Therapist - School Setting in Raeford, NC

Physical therapists passionate about making a difference in school settings will thrive in this dynamic, contract opportunity supporting students across multiple grade levels. The role begins with an Extended School Year (ESY) assignment from July 8, 2026, to July 30, 2026, with the regular full-time academic assignment starting August 13, 2026, and continuing through May 28, 2027. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., averaging 35 hours weekly, providing services to a caseload of approximately 50 students alongside a dedicated PT/PTA team. Travel between school sites is required, and mileage will be reimbursed.

Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Experience with school-based therapy highly desired
• Ability to work with students from Pre-K through high school
• PTs must be fingerprinted prior to working with Pre-K students
• Early intervention and TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment) training or certification is highly preferred, but not required
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between multiple school sites
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapeutic services to students with a range of physical needs, collaboratively working with educators and support staff
• Participate in assessments and develop individual plans to support student mobility and participation
• Conduct Pre-K evaluations as appropriate (TPBA trained/certified therapists highly valued)
• Manage caseload documentation and comply with all regulatory guidelines
• Travel between schools in close proximity; mileage is reimbursed
