Step into an impactful role assisting students as a contract Physical Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll have the unique opportunity to provide targeted PT services in a supportive educational environment, working closely with a collaborative team to help students reach their full potential. This position offers a steady schedule of approximately 9 hours per week, allowing for meaningful student interaction with a balanced workload.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in California
  • Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEPs, goal setting, and documentation processes within education
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to manage diverse caseloads and adapt to varied student needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed assessments to identify motor function and mobility challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with physical and developmental needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate physical therapy approaches in daily routines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for goal planning and progress reporting
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school and legal standards
  • Educate school personnel on physical therapy strategies that enhance student participation and accessibility
