Step into a rewarding contract opportunity this summer as a Physical Therapist working with students ages 4 to 22 during the Extended School Year program. The assignment runs from July 6th to August 6th, with a flexible schedule of 2 to 3 days per week (Monday through Thursday), and just 3 hours each day—giving you the perfect balance of work and free time.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state
- Prior experience working within a school environment preferred
- Ability to support a diverse caseload, including students with varying abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with educational staff and families
- Enthusiasm for supporting students’ physical development and academic success
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students, supporting mobility, access, and participation in school activities
- Develop, implement, and track progress on individualized therapy plans based on student needs
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to adapt environments and develop strategies that facilitate student independence
- Maintain accurate records, document progress, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Engage with families to share goals, strategies, and progress
