Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, faculty, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to document progress efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide physical therapy interventions for students with a variety of needs
- Liaise with teachers, administrators, and other therapists to coordinate care and ensure an integrated approach
- Support students’ physical access to curriculum, activities, and school facilities
- Evaluate and document student progress, updating treatment plans as necessary
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding student progress and ongoing needs
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and participation
