This full-time, 35-hour-per-week contract position begins in late August for a 12-week leave coverage, with potential for extension. Key Qualifications:

  • Licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) within the state.
  • Prior experience providing physical therapy services in a school environment preferred.
  • Solid understanding of pediatric therapy interventions, IEP documentation, and collaborative goal setting.
  • Effective communication skills for partnering with educators, families, and other related service professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and initiative to handle a flexible, dynamic caseload.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group physical therapy sessions to support students’ educational success and functional goals.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and regularly document progress and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help create and implement IEPs in compliance with educational standards.
  • Provide guidance to staff and families on strategies for improving students’ motor skills and day-to-day participation.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders.
