Step into an impactful role as a contract Physical Therapist supporting students ages PreK–21 in a dynamic school environment. With a manageable caseload of approximately 30 students, this position allows for personalized intervention and meaningful collaborations. The assignment runs from August 13, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with the option for renewal, and is ideal for professionals seeking a flexible, part-time schedule of 20 hours per week.
You'll play a pivotal role across seven schools within the district, partnering with educators and families to empower students to achieve their highest potential. Your expertise will make a difference by helping students improve mobility, enhance independence, and access the educational curriculum.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in West Virginia (or eligibility for licensure)
- Experience working in a school-based setting, ideally with a range of student ages and needs
- Capacity to manage a diverse caseload and adapt therapy plans accordingly
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Commitment to promoting a positive, inclusive school environment
Responsibilities:
- Complete assessments, develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, and track student progress
- Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students with varied physical and developmental needs
- Consult regularly with teachers, families, and other service providers
- Document interventions and adhere to compliance requirements
- Travel between schools within the district as needed
