Physical Therapist - School Setting in Rochester, NY

A contract opportunity is available for two Onsite Physical Therapists to provide specialized support during the Extended School Year (ESY) program in Rochester, NY. This role supports a diverse caseload spanning students from kindergarten through age 22, delivering essential physical therapy services within the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy assessment, treatment, and documentation aligned with student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with educational teams, families, and healthcare providers to support student progress.
• Adapt therapeutic interventions to the unique needs of each student within the school environment.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements.
• Manage schedules efficiently to provide services Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current New York State Physical Therapist license (mandatory).
• Proven experience in pediatric physical therapy, preferably within school settings.
• Strong understanding of educational and therapeutic regulations for K-22 populations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage caseload effectively and adapt to a school-based environment.

Location:

• Rochester, New York.

Benefits:

• Contract role with defined term from July 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026.
• Work schedule supports a balanced approach, five days per week at 35 hours total.
