School-Based Physical Therapist - Rocky Point, NC

Step into a dynamic school-based physical therapy position, supporting students from preschool through high school in an engaging educational environment. This contract opportunity spans from April 20 through June 9, with the main focus of work completed by June 5. You’ll work 35-40 hours per week, managing a caseload of fewer than 50 students in a setting that includes both traditional schools and a specialized Developmental Day Center.

Enjoy a varied workday as you travel between 7 schools in the area (typically visiting 1 to 2 schools per day), collaborating with diverse educational teams and helping students develop their physical abilities to reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

• Current license as a Physical Therapist
• Experience working with students in school-based or pediatric settings
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage time efficiently while traveling to multiple school sites
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development
• Familiarity with documentation requirements for IEPs and Medicaid (preferred)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat students with varying physical needs, developing individualized therapy plans
• Travel to assigned school sites and a Developmental Day Center, providing direct services and consultative support
• Participate in IEP meetings and document all interventions and progress in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Communicate regularly with parents, school staff, and related service providers to facilitate a team approach
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress
