School-Based Physical Therapist - Romeoville, Illinois

Make a meaningful impact providing physical therapy services in a dynamic school setting near Romeoville, IL. This contract opportunity offers one full-time opening (part-time candidates will be considered) serving several schools, supporting students from elementary age through transition programs. Both in-person and teletherapy options are available.

Your expertise will support students in achieving greater physical independence and participation within their educational environments. You’ll work with a varied caseload, collaborating with educators and clinical staff, and help shape the way students experience school each day.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MPT/DPT)
• Valid Illinois Physical Therapy License
• Experience or strong interest in school-based physical therapy
• Comfortable working across age groups and with diverse physical needs
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 35-45 students
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical therapy evaluations and assessments
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy plans
• Provide ongoing therapy directly or via consultation within general education and self-contained classrooms
• Train staff and students in the use of positioning and mobility equipment
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation, including daily notes, progress reports, and goal updates
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams to support student progress
• Travel between multiple school sites as assigned

The role offers a regular schedule—Monday through Friday, with start times between 7:30 and 8:30am based on individual school hours. The contract runs through June 7, 2027, with immediate start available.
