Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity delivering physical therapy services to students across several welcoming schools. This engaging role is ideal for a dedicated physical therapist ready to make a meaningful impact on the educational journey and daily lives of children and young adults. The position is in-person only, offering full-time hours (with part-time applicants also considered), and involves traveling between multiple schools that serve a diverse student population from elementary through transition programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MPT/DPT)
  • Current Illinois Physical Therapy License required
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
  • Ability to work independently across various sites
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Skilled in evaluating, planning, and implementing effective therapy plans for students with a range of abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to approximately 35–45 students in self-contained and general education settings
  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Train staff and students in the safe use of positioning and mobility equipment
  • Collaborate closely with educators, paraprofessionals, therapists, and nurses to support student success
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive daily documentation, progress reports, and updates on student goals
  • Travel between schools in the Romeoville and Bolingbrook areas, adjusting to varying schedules (school start times between 7:30–8:30am, Monday through Friday)
