Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ development and mobility across a diverse district. This contract Physical Therapist assignment begins August 13, 2025, and runs through May 28, 2026, with a renewal option based on performance and district needs. You’ll work 20 hours per week, providing direct services to approximately 30 students ages PreK through 21, serving multiple school sites within a supportive, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with disabilities or physical challenges
- Evaluate student needs using standardized assessments and collaborate on IEP goal planning
- Deliver therapy services in varied settings, adapting to both classroom and pull-out models
- Educate and support staff and families on therapeutic exercises, accommodations, and adaptive equipment
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Travel between up to seven district schools as part of your weekly schedule
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state documentation protocols
Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with current credentials (or eligibility) for schools in West Virginia
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Comfort working with students across a broad age spectrum and varied abilities
- Ability to work independently while networking with teachers, staff, and families
