Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Experience delivering PT services in school-based or pediatric settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and goal setting
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and interdisciplinary staff
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and personalize therapy plans for children with diverse abilities
- Organizational skills to effectively manage caseloads and maintain timely records
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ physical therapy needs and develop individualized plans to support educational access
- Collaborate with teachers, educational staff, and parents to integrate therapy supports within classroom routines
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services in accordance with IEP goals
- Document progress, complete required reports, and actively participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Provide training or resources to staff and families to enable continuity of therapy strategies
- Uphold compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines related to school-based therapy
