School-Based Physical Therapist - Round Lake, Illinois

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Physical Therapist licensure in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
• Recent experience in a school-based PT setting preferred

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, educators, and families
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and varied caseloads

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ physical abilities and develop tailored treatment plans supporting their academic participation
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy into students’ daily routines
• Document and report on student progress, maintaining compliance with district and state guidelines
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multi-disciplinary teams
• Educate school staff on mobility, positioning, and safe handling techniques
