Make a meaningful impact this summer by supporting students as a Physical Therapist during Extended School Year (ESY) programming. This contract opportunity runs from July 6th, 2025, through August 7th, 2025, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule—six hours per day, totaling 30 hours each week. You'll work with K-12 students, helping them maximize their physical potential and develop essential motor skills in a supportive educational setting.
What we’re looking for:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with experience working in schools or pediatric settings
- Available for the duration of ESY (July 6th – August 7th, 2025)
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other therapists
- Experience working with students in grades K-12
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Safe Care Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
- Ability to adapt therapy activities to meet diverse student needs
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering effective physical therapy interventions for students with a wide range of abilities
- Assessing student progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Collaborating with educational teams and families to support student growth
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
- Providing guidance on adaptive equipment, mobility strategies, and injury prevention
- Supporting students in achieving their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals during the ESY session
