This contract role starts August 4th, 2026 and continues through December 18th, 2026, working with a dedicated caseload of 37 students. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Understanding of pediatric PT best practices
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education laws
- Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Track progress, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student development
- Recommend classroom modifications and adaptive equipment as appropriate
- Encourage students to build motor skills and confidence in a supportive setting
