Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students during an upcoming maternity leave assignment for a full-time school-based Physical Therapist. This contract role starts August 4th, 2026 and continues through December 18th, 2026, working with a dedicated caseload of 37 students. Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida
  • Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Understanding of pediatric PT best practices
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and special education laws
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent organizational and documentation abilities

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Track progress, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to foster student development
  • Recommend classroom modifications and adaptive equipment as appropriate
  • Encourage students to build motor skills and confidence in a supportive setting
