This position is ideal for a Certified Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant (under supervision) passionate about supporting students ages 3 to 18, with caseloads ranging from mild to moderate needs. Serving three locations—with the current urgent need focused on a single student in an ECSE room—this role offers flexibility and a strong sense of purpose.
You’ll provide direct therapy or supervise PTA services between August 24, 2026, and June 10, 2027, including extended school year dates, working just one hour per week on one day per week. Earn between $40 and $52 per hour as you help students achieve their goals within supportive educational environments.
Qualifications & Preferred Background:
- Current certification as a Physical Therapist or eligible to supervise a PTA
- Experience in educational or pediatric settings, ideally within public schools
- Skills in assessment, treatment planning, and documentation for school-based physical therapy
- Strong communication abilities for effective collaboration with staff, families, and students
- Flexibility for travel between three nearby locations
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services or supervise a PTA in accordance with students’ IEP/504 plans
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and monitor individual progress
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal education guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student access and participation
- Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate
