Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state
- Previous experience within school settings (preferred)
- Adaptability to work with students across a range of ages and abilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educational staff, families, and other specialists
- Ability to travel between school locations as part of an itinerant assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans
- Deliver physical therapy services in a variety of educational settings, adjusting techniques to suit individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers and school teams to support students’ IEP goals
- Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and make data-driven recommendations for continued development
- Provide training and support to school staff and families regarding therapy strategies
- Stay current with best practices and regulatory requirements in school-based physical therapy
