As an itinerant physical therapist, you will serve students from early childhood through transitional grades throughout various campuses. With small caseloads at each location, you can focus on delivering high-quality, individualized care while collaborating with educators and families.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a current and valid California Physical Therapy (PT) license
  • Proven experience providing physical therapy services in a school-based setting
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort with traveling between school sites
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build positive rapport with students, staff, and families
  • Commitment to supporting diverse learners across a variety of educational and developmental needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy assessments and services for students as indicated in their IEPs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and related service providers to support student goals
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
  • Serve as a resource for staff and families on physical development and assistive equipment
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation aligned with district and legal requirements
