This contract opportunity offers a focused schedule of 3-4 hours per week, beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. What you’ll need:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in California
- Previous experience providing PT services in a school environment strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs, student progress monitoring, and documentation practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, educators, and families
- Adaptability and effective time management for a part-time schedule
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate students referred for physical therapy services and develop customized treatment plans
- Provide direct physical therapy interventions to support student mobility, access, and participation in school activities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on IEPs, goal writing, and annual reviews
- Maintain thorough records of student progress and communicate outcomes with appropriate stakeholders
- Support staff in implementing accommodations or recommendations related to physical therapy
- Stay current with best practices and regulations in pediatric and school-based PT
