Make a difference supporting student growth as a Physical Therapist in a school-based setting, located near San Mateo, CA. This contract opportunity offers a focused schedule of 3-4 hours per week, beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Play a vital role in helping students reach their goals within an educational environment that values collaboration and student-centered care.

What you’ll need:

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in California
  • Previous experience providing PT services in a school environment strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEPs, student progress monitoring, and documentation practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, educators, and families
  • Adaptability and effective time management for a part-time schedule

Key responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students referred for physical therapy services and develop customized treatment plans
  • Provide direct physical therapy interventions to support student mobility, access, and participation in school activities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on IEPs, goal writing, and annual reviews
  • Maintain thorough records of student progress and communicate outcomes with appropriate stakeholders
  • Support staff in implementing accommodations or recommendations related to physical therapy
  • Stay current with best practices and regulations in pediatric and school-based PT
