Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in the state (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but open to candidates from other backgrounds
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow clinicians
- Commitment to student-centered practice
- Willingness to travel to and work within schools as assigned
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine students’ physical therapy needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans aimed at improving students’ mobility, access, and participation in school activities
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ educational goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with all regulations
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations for student support plans
- Provide consultation and training to educational staff regarding physical therapy strategies
- Adapt and modify interventions as students progress
