Desired Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California
- Prior experience or strong interest in school-based physical therapy settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with students, educators, and families
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement appropriate physical therapy plans within a school environment
- Reliable, organized, and flexible approach to scheduling and caseload management
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical therapy assessments for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with educational teams to design and implement individualized therapy programs aligned with student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings when necessary, providing input and recommendations regarding student progress and intervention strategies
- Document student progress and maintain accurate treatment records in accordance with school and legal guidelines
- Provide education and resources to staff and families regarding physical therapy interventions, adaptive equipment, and home programming as needed
- Ensure all care is delivered in compliance with district and state regulations
