Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California
  • Prior experience or strong interest in school-based physical therapy settings
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with students, educators, and families
  • Ability to assess, develop, and implement appropriate physical therapy plans within a school environment
  • Reliable, organized, and flexible approach to scheduling and caseload management

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical therapy assessments for students with diverse needs
  • Collaborate with educational teams to design and implement individualized therapy programs aligned with student goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings when necessary, providing input and recommendations regarding student progress and intervention strategies
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate treatment records in accordance with school and legal guidelines
  • Provide education and resources to staff and families regarding physical therapy interventions, adaptive equipment, and home programming as needed
  • Ensure all care is delivered in compliance with district and state regulations
