Key Requirements:
- Valid Physical Therapy (PT) license in New York State
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to manage a caseload spanning kindergarten through 12th grade
- Readiness to complete 450 compensatory hours within the specified timeframe
- Flexible, solution-oriented approach to changing school and student needs
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative work spirit
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy services for students
- Document services, student progress, and treatment details per district and legal standards
- Cooperate with teachers, special education teams, and families to integrate therapy goals into academic environments
- Develop and execute strategies to address a wide spectrum of student needs, from mobility and gross motor skills to positioning and adaptive equipment assessment
- Address compensatory hours efficiently and maintain accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning
