School-Based Physical Therapist - Saugerties, NY

Step into an impactful school-based physical therapy role serving K-12 students on a full-time contract basis through the end of June, with the possibility of extension into the summer. Located near Saugerties, NY, this position focuses on providing high-quality services to help students achieve their mobility and functional goals. You'll play a vital part in delivering care, supporting educational teams, and addressing the compensatory hours needed for compliant and successful outcomes.

Key Requirements:

• Valid Physical Therapy (PT) license in New York State
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload spanning kindergarten through 12th grade
• Readiness to complete 450 compensatory hours within the specified timeframe
• Flexible, solution-oriented approach to changing school and student needs
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative work spirit

Core Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy services for students
• Document services, student progress, and treatment details per district and legal standards
• Cooperate with teachers, special education teams, and families to integrate therapy goals into academic environments
• Develop and execute strategies to address a wide spectrum of student needs, from mobility and gross motor skills to positioning and adaptive equipment assessment
• Address compensatory hours efficiently and maintain accurate records
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning
