You’ll work across two buildings—both close together—making an impact on a small but growing caseload. Currently, two dedicated students require your expertise: one receives weekly therapy sessions, with additional time allotted to help them catch up, while the other has periodic needs each reporting period. There’s also the potential for an expanded caseload throughout the school year, offering both consistency and the chance for increased involvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist in North Carolina is required
  • Strong background in school-based PT, with experience supporting K-12 students
  • Comfort working independently, managing scheduling, and adjusting to evolving caseload demands
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized PT interventions within an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families, teachers, and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy services per students' IEP/504 requirements
  • Document therapy sessions and maintain detailed progress notes
  • Collaborate with educational teams to support student mobility, strength, and functional independence
  • Adjust or develop PT goals as student progress and caseload needs shift
  • Attend IEP meetings, assist with assessments, and provide consultative support when needed
