Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
- Active State Physical Therapist License, recognized by the State Board of Physical Therapy
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly preferred, though not required
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
- Adaptability and a positive, student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
- Work closely with teachers, families, and school staff to support student mobility and participation in school activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations or equipment as needed
- Maintain compliance with State, Federal, and school policies
