This role is ideal for a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) eager to make a meaningful impact within a school setting. Beginning August 2026, you’ll work closely with a small, manageable caseload, empowering three students in grades K-6 with individualized care and attention.
What we’re looking for:
- Licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant
- Previous experience or genuine interest in working in schools
- Understanding of pediatric therapy and school-based services
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability when working with children
Your responsibilities would include:
- Providing direct physical therapy services to three students, focusing on mobility, gross motor skills, and functional independence
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in accordance with student IEPs
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive support
- Conducting regular progress assessments and updating relevant documentation
- Serving as a resource for school staff regarding physical development and accommodations
