Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Washington.
  • Prior experience in educational settings, ideally with students in grades 6-12.
  • Strong understanding of adolescent developmental needs and school-based therapy best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families.
  • Ability to design and implement adaptive interventions for a diverse student population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy evaluations, treatments, and progress monitoring to support students’ mobility and functional independence in the school environment.
  • Develop customized therapy plans aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines.
  • Document treatment sessions, progress, and outcomes in line with school and federal guidelines.
  • Offer consultation and guidance to school staff on mobility strategies and accommodations.
  • Communicate regularly with families to support student progress and address concerns.
