School-Based Physical Therapist - Sevierville, Tennessee

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist
• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to design and implement therapy programs tailored to the needs of children and adolescents
• Commitment to supporting students of diverse backgrounds and abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver one-on-one or small group PT services to students
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy into students’ academic plans
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and maintain compliance with state, federal, and district policies
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations and supporting student goals
• Educate staff and caregivers on adaptive equipment, safe transfers, and home activities to sustain progress beyond school hours
