Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Washington State (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is strongly preferred
- Skilled in developing and implementing effective treatment plans
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and participation in IEP meetings
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to promoting independence, mobility, and student engagement in educational activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ therapy needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Deliver direct therapy sessions to students, monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEPs
- Offer training and resources to staff and caregivers to support carryover of therapeutic strategies
