School-Based Physical Therapist - Shelton, WA

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Washington State (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is strongly preferred
• Skilled in developing and implementing effective treatment plans
• Familiarity with IEP documentation and participation in IEP meetings
• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to promoting independence, mobility, and student engagement in educational activities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ therapy needs
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
• Deliver direct therapy sessions to students, monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEPs
• Offer training and resources to staff and caregivers to support carryover of therapeutic strategies
