School-Based Physical Therapist - Southaven, Mississippi

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapy license in Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Knowledge of IEP process and IDEA laws is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans for students with varying physical needs
• Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other support staff to optimize student outcomes
• Maintain thorough documentation of services provided and progress notes in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team conferences
• Educate teachers and caregivers on strategies to help students succeed in the educational setting
