Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to effectively partner with educators and parents
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions tailored for students’ unique needs
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to individualized education plans (IEPs) and multidisciplinary team meetings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students to determine physical therapy needs in educational settings
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that enhance students’ mobility, function, and participation in school activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student independence
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and legal requirements
  • Participate in case conferences and provide expert guidance to the IEP team
  • Educate school personnel and caregivers on best practices for student care and accessibility
