What we’re looking for:
- Valid Physical Therapy license in Mississippi (or ability to obtain)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and related documentation
- Ability to adapt to various student needs and learning environments
- Organizational skills and a passion for student development
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ physical therapy needs within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address mobility and functional goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other related service providers to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Contribute to IEP meetings and provide updates on student progress
- Engage in both direct therapy and consultative services as needed
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in school activities
