Step into a dynamic school-based setting working full-time as a Physical Therapist for the entire 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity is based in the Spanaway, WA area and requires onsite presence, supporting K-12 students across the district. You’ll be an integral part of student progress, providing essential PT services to a caseload of approximately 25-30 students.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Washington State Physical Therapy (PT) license, or eligibility and willingness to secure one prior to start
  • Willingness to complete state-required fingerprinting through OSPI
  • Experience in school-based PT settings is valued
  • Competency working with a wide range of student ages and needs (K-12)
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage a district-wide caseload

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct PT interventions and therapies to assigned students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEPs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and related service providers
  • Conduct screenings and comprehensive PT evaluations as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and document progress toward student goals
  • Consult with teachers and families to support student participation and accessibility
  • Cover multiple sites within the district as needed
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing school-based PT
