Key Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience supporting students in school-based settings preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP goals, compliance, and documentation
• Ability to adapt interventions for a variety of student needs and abilities
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently

What You’ll Do:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to a student with an IEP twice per week, implementing goals and strategies tailored to individual needs
• Assess student abilities, needs, and progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Collaborate closely with educators, special education staff, and families to ensure coordinated care
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services, progress notes, and recommendations in accordance with school and legal requirements
• Participate in meetings and communicate effectively with IEP teams
• Adapt to expanding caseload, with the possibility of including a third student as the program grows
