School-Based Physical Therapist - Spring Lake, North Carolina

Step into a rewarding contract role where your skills as a Physical Therapist will have a direct impact on students across multiple schools. This opportunity entails working closely with a PT/PTA team to provide high-quality therapy services to a caseload of approximately 50 students, ranging from Pre-K through high school. You’ll enjoy the variety of traveling between schools—with mileage reimbursed—and the support of colleagues who share your commitment to student well-being.

Your schedule includes two distinct assignments: Extended School Year (ESY) coverage from July 8–July 30, 2026 (Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am – 12:30 pm) and a full-time academic year contract from August 13, 2026–May 28, 2027 (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–3:30 pm for 35 hours weekly).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid and current Physical Therapist license
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Ability to be fingerprinted and cleared to work with Pre-K students (required)
• Experience or certification in Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment (TPBA) for Pre-K evaluations is a plus, but not required
• Commitment to collaborative teamwork and reliable, compassionate service

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to students as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Travel between assigned schools to provide individualized interventions
• Conduct assessments and participate in IEP development, especially for early childhood populations
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress with educational staff and families
