A full-time contract position is available for an experienced Physical Therapist to provide services in a school setting near Springfield, MA. This opportunity spans from August 24, 2026, through June 16, 2027, offering consistent hours—30 to 35 per week—and a manageable caseload of 7 to 9 students.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
- Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs
- Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet individual student needs
- Passion for working with school-aged children and adolescents
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ physical development and mobility needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
- Work closely with educators, families, and other service providers to support student goals
- Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to progress reports and IEP meetings
- Promote an inclusive learning environment and support students’ access to the curriculum
- Stay current with best practices in school-based physical therapy
