You’ll bring your expertise in pediatric and school-based physical therapy to ensure that every student has the opportunity to access their education to the fullest. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and enjoy a fulfilling assignment that enhances your professional growth.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in Connecticut
- Previous experience providing physical therapy in school settings is highly valued
- Familiarity with IEP processes and special education services
- Ability to work with students ranging from preschool through high school
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative PT services to students according to their Individualized Education Plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and document student progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other therapists to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations
- Support mobility, accessibility, and functional success for students across the district
