Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly desired
• Strong understanding of motor development and school-based therapy practices
• Effective communication skills to engage students, educators, and families
• Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptable and resourceful approach to meeting the diverse needs of students

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ motor skills and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct physical therapy sessions to support students in meeting their educational and functional objectives
• Collaborate with teachers, occupational and speech therapists, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
• Document progress and maintain detailed records to support ongoing intervention and compliance requirements
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans
