Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Experience or a strong interest in working with children and adolescents in an educational or pediatric setting
- Understanding of IEP processes and familiarity with school documentation and compliance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff
- Ability to adapt therapeutic activities to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' mobility and functional needs within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy interventions in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families for integrated service delivery
- Provide training and support to school personnel regarding student mobility, equipment use, and classroom accessibility
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with school policies
