An opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist to provide essential support in a school setting located in Stone Mountain, GA, just 15-25 minutes from Atlanta. This contract position offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, serving a diverse caseload of 25-35 students ranging from PreK through 12th grade.
Ideal candidates will have pediatric and/or school-based physical therapy experience to effectively meet the unique needs of the student population. This role involves delivering therapy services tailored to support students' physical development and mobility within the educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy evaluations, treatments, and interventions for students in grades PreK-12.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ needs and goals.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student development and plan appropriate interventions.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with credentials to provide school-based therapy.
- Previous experience in pediatric and school-based physical therapy settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 25-35 students effectively.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to school therapy services.
Location: Stone Mountain, GA, with schools close to Tucker in Dekalb County, offering convenient access to the Atlanta metropolitan area.
