Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Florida
  • Previous experience with pediatric, school-based, or K-12 caseloads preferred
  • Thorough understanding of IEPs and experience contributing to student progress reports
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Able to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying student needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver school-based physical therapy services to K-12 students, encompassing assessment, treatment planning, and direct intervention
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and family members to promote student access and participation in the school environment
  • Document progress, maintain accurate and timely records, and assist in IEP goal development and review
  • Provide consultative support to staff and families, offering strategies for improving student outcomes
  • Participate in in-service training, meetings, and ongoing professional development
