Physical Therapist - School Setting in Tacoma, WA

What You’ll Bring:

• Current Washington State Physical Therapist license, or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Experience working within a school setting or interest in school-based therapy
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 25-30 students, serving the full district (K-12)
• Commitment to onsite services (no virtual/remote options)
• Completed fingerprinting through OSPI or willingness to get fingerprinted per state requirements
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy interventions for students as identified in their IEPs
• Assess, document, and monitor student progress, adjusting treatment plans to achieve established goals
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student participation and access in the educational environment
• Provide training, support, and consultation to school staff regarding safe physical access and mobility strategies
• Travel between school sites within the district as needed
• Contribute actively to IEP meetings and work cohesively with the multidisciplinary team
