School-Based Physical Therapist - Tacoma, WA

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students across a dynamic K-12 setting for the 2026-2027 school year. Serving district-wide throughout Yelm, WA, you’ll empower learners of all ages as a full-time Physical Therapist (PT), with a manageable caseload of 25-30 students. This onsite-only opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary team and make a meaningful difference every day.

Your expertise will be vital in maximizing student mobility, access, and participation within the school environment. You will have the chance to observe students in various environments, develop tailored therapeutic plans, and provide direct services to support their educational goals.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid Washington State Physical Therapy license (or willingness to obtain before the assignment)
• Availability for onsite services from September 9, 2026, through June 16, 2027
• Prior experience with pediatric or school-based caseloads preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively across school sites and teams
• Fingerprinted through OSPI, or willingness to complete this process prior to start
• Dedication to supporting a diverse range of students in achieving their maximum potential

Key responsibilities:

• Complete thorough assessments and develop IEP-related goals
• Deliver direct therapy and consultative services for K-12 students
• Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
• Document student progress, maintain compliance, and participate in IEP meetings
• Provide recommendations for equipment or adaptive devices as needed across the district
