A part-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available providing telehealth and in-person services within a school setting in Lexington, NC. This contracted position focuses on delivering physical therapy care tailored for the educational environment, supporting students’ mobility and functional needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting physical therapy evaluations and interventions via telehealth and onsite visits
- Collaborating with educators and staff to develop individualized therapy plans for students
- Supervising and guiding a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to ensure effective therapy delivery
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting treatment approaches accordingly
- Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and educational standards
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school-based healthcare
- Skilled in telehealth therapy methods and remote patient engagement
- Proven ability to supervise PTAs and support their clinical development
- Strong communication skills for working with children, families, and educational personnel
