A need exists for a skilled Virtual Physical Therapist to provide specialized telehealth services for a student in Florida. This position is contract-based and offers flexibility with per diem hours focused on delivering targeted care and support as outlined in the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services virtually for one student, ensuring individualized care during 90-minute sessions each quarter.
- Complete compensatory therapy time to address delays from prior months, facilitating the student’s progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings as required, collaborating with educators and family members to discuss the student's development and adjust therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and outcomes in compliance with applicable standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist with valid credentials to practice in Florida.
- Experience providing telehealth physical therapy services in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of school-based physical therapy practices and IEP processes.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently in a virtual environment.
