Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid physical therapy license in state of assignment (or eligibility to obtain before start)
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but new graduates and those from other pediatric backgrounds are welcome
  • Comfortable working with diverse student needs, including IEP/504 plan development and implementation
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and family members
  • Organizational proficiency to manage schedules, document progress, and adapt strategies as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative PT services to students from preschool through high school as required by IEPs
  • Assess motor skills, mobility, and functional capacities to help ensure students access their educational environments
  • Develop and document treatment interventions, track progress, and create reports for meetings and compliance
  • Educate staff and caregivers on mobility issues, therapy activities, and equipment use within the school environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and team conferences throughout the school year
