School-Based Physical Therapist - The Villages, Florida

Step into a school-based Physical Therapist role supporting students across a vibrant K-12 population near The Villages, FL. The district is actively interviewing and eager to welcome dedicated, compassionate professionals who can deliver both direct and indirect therapy services.

Your role includes working alongside a collaborative team consisting of another Physical Therapist and a PTA. Covering up to 35 schools on an itinerant basis, you’ll typically visit two or three sites each day and contribute to individualized care for a diverse student body—including some Pre-K students.

Your Qualifications:

• Active Florida state Physical Therapist license (required)
• Experience delivering services in school settings is highly valued, though not a strict prerequisite
• Ability to efficiently manage a varied caseload within a dynamic educational environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable with both direct interventions and consultative/indirect services
• Willingness to travel to multiple campuses throughout the week

What You’ll Do:

• Provide evidence-based physical therapy services to students, supporting academic and motor development
• Collaborate and consult with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
• Complete assessments, maintain compliant documentation, and develop treatment plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams

The contract runs on-site from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027. Full-time schedules are 7:30am – 4:00pm with a half-hour lunch, but part-time arrangements are welcome if you prefer greater flexibility.
