Elevate the educational experience for young learners by empowering them to thrive in a supportive and collaborative environment as a Physical Therapist. This contract opportunity is located at an elementary school setting and focuses on providing critical support to students from PreK through 2nd grade. You’ll find fulfillment in helping children reach mobility and participation goals, working closely with teachers, families, and special education professionals to ensure each student’s needs are met.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid North Carolina Physical Therapy License (verification required)
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  • Prior experience in pediatric or school settings highly valued
  • School-based physical therapy background preferred
  • Ability to deliver therapy services on-site only
  • Proven track record collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Your Impact:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy in alignment with student IEP objectives
  • Conduct assessments, write progress notes, and participate in team meetings
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to support student access and participation
  • Create, implement, and adjust individualized treatment strategies
  • Maintain up-to-date records and utilize district documentation platforms such as ECATS and Infinite Campus
  • Take part in IEP meetings, offering expert input for student success
  • Monitor outcomes, ensuring therapy remains responsive to each child’s evolving needs

Position Details:

  • Part-time (approximately 3 hours per week)
  • Academic year assignment: August 17, 2026 to June 4, 2027
  • Dedicated caseload: Serving approximately three students, PreK–2nd grade
  • On-site role only
