Physical Therapist - School Setting in Tinley Park, IL

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Licensed Physical Therapist with school-based experience preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators and families
• Ability to manage a partial weekly schedule, with flexibility for 3–4 days onsite
• Experience delivering both direct and consultative PT services to diverse student populations

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct therapeutic interventions to students individually according to their IEPs at three school buildings
• Deliver consultative physical therapy services and guidance to staff for select students
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation of sessions, progress, and IEP goals
• Coordinate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators to optimize student engagement and mobility
• Adapt sessions to meet each student’s unique strengths, needs, and learning environment
• Support the development of strategies and accommodations to promote student independence

The student caseload varies between buildings, ranging from short sessions (as little as 7.5 minutes/week) up to regular 45–60 minute weekly sessions. You’ll work with a manageable group of students requiring both one-on-one interventions and collaboration on student care plans.
